Nominations Due November 1 for $200,000-Added 2027 TQHA Sale Futurity

Nominations for the $200,000-added 2027 TQHA Sale Futurity (RG1) are due November 1, according to the Texas Quarter Horse Association.

The $300 nomination payment is open to all 2025 foals that passed through the sale ring at the 2026 Annual TQHA Yearling Sale, including yearlings that were purchased or repurchased.

The 2027 TQHA Sale Futurity will return to Retama Park, with trials scheduled for July 10 and the final set for July 31. The final will be contested in conjunction with the 2027 Annual TQHA Yearling Sale weekend.

Last year's TQHA Sale Futurity (RG1) carried a total purse of $683,700.

To nominate and participate, the AQHA-listed owner or partnership of the horse must be a current TQHA member. Owners needing to join or renew their membership may do so on the nomination form and include the appropriate membership payment.

TQHA officials also emphasized that all future payment reminders will be sent by email only, making it important for nominators to provide a current and valid email address on the nomination form.
