Lone Star Park – Workouts Scheduling Mandate

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–AUGUST 28, 2024–Horsemen and women planning to participate in the Lone Star Park Fall Meeting of Champions are asked to please note the TXRC has implemented an additional documentation requirement for official works where the trainers sign up for official works the day before or sooner than the work is conducted with the Racing Office.

They must be turned in by noon the day beforehand at the latest.

Workouts can be called into the racing office between 10:00 a.m. and noon each day or emailed to workouts@lonestarpark.com. The racing office's number is (972) 237-1130. The office will be closed on Sundays, so all Monday workouts must be emailed or called in on Saturday.

"We will need the trainer's name, the horse's name, and the distance of the workout. You can also turn in the rider's name if you have it and want to, but we can also get the rider's name at the gap, as we have been doing recently. This information is also required but doesn't have to be turned in ahead of time," Lone Star Park racing officials said in a press release this week.

Please plan accordingly.

The Fall Meeting Champions will begin Friday, September 6, and run through Saturday, November 15. Live racing will be Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. (CT), with the first post at 6:05 p.m. Breeders Cup Saturday, November 2, gates open at 10:30 a.m., first live race at 6:05 p.m.
