In this episode, StallioneSearch was on hand to capture footage and highlights from the running of the 2026 All American Oaks (G1). Flying Joy 1 delivered a standout performance Sunday at The Downs at Albuquerque, pulling off a 33-1 upset in the Grade 1, $694,186 All American Oaks. After qualifying with the 10th-fastest time, Flying Joy 1 saved her best effort for the final. With Ricky Ramirez aboard for trainer S. Wood, the sorrel filly broke sharply from post four and quickly took command of the 440-yard event. She maintained her advantage to the wire, defeating Lookatme Z by three-quarters of a length in :20.930.

Ramirez credited the filly’s strong start as a key factor in the victory, noting that she broke exceptionally well and put herself in an ideal position from the beginning. Owned by David Rogers, Flying Joy 1 was bred by Cuadra JM LLC and sold for $49,000 at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale. She is a daughter of Flying Cowboy 123 and out of the First Moonflash mare Kylee Joy. Her female family also includes champion and Grade 1 All American Derby winner The Casanova, an earner of $259,102.

Sunday’s victory marked the second graded stakes win of Flying Joy 1’s career. She captured the Oklahoma Futurity (G2) last season and also finished as a finalist in the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity (RG1) during her 2-year-old campaign.
