2026 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale Recap-Session 1 (VIDEO)

StallioneSearch.com continues its webcast coverage of the All American Weekend from Ruidoso Downs, featuring a recap of the top sellers from the opening session of the 2026 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.
In this episode, StallioneSearch highlights the top four-selling yearlings from the first session, where 24 yearlings reaching six-figure prices, highlighted by Hip #191, CT So So Political, who topped the session with a final bid of $500,000. The opening-night high seller improved upon the $390,000 top price recorded during the first session of the 2025 sale.
A total of 151 yearlings changed hands during Friday’s session, generating gross sales of $8,766,500. In comparison, the opening session of the 2025 sale saw 186 yearlings sell for a combined $11,786,500.
The 2026 opening session produced an average price of $58,056, an 8.4% decrease from last year’s $63,368 average. The median price also declined year over year, settling at $37,000 compared with $47,000 during the corresponding session in 2025.
