2026 HERITAGE PLACE YEARLING SALE RECAP

StallioneSearch.com introduces its webcast coverage of the four days of the 2026 Heritage Place Quarter Horse Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, featuring a recap of the top sellers from Wednesday’s opening session.

In this episode, StallioneSearch highlights the top three-selling yearlings from Session 1, led by Hip #190, Flying Scorpion, who topped the opening day with a final bid of $130,000. Flying Scorpion, a daughter of leading sire Flying Cowboy 123, was consigned by Marty Powers, agent for Mike Vaughan. Paragon Farms LLC signed the ticket on the filly, who is out of the Hes Relentless mare Relentless Scorpion.

The session’s second-highest seller was Hip #166, Salti Dogg, who brought $100,000. Leyva Racing/Absolute Refrigeration purchased the Favorite Cartel colt from the Stoli mare Trendi. Lazy E Ranch LLC, agent for McColee Land & Livestock LLC, consigned the colt.

A total of 200 yearlings were sold from 255 offered during Wednesday’s opening session, generating gross receipts of $5,748,700. The session produced an average price of $28,744 and a median of $21,000. There were 55 repurchases and 16 yearlings listed as outs.

Among consignors, Rancho El Cabresto Inc. led Session 1 with six yearlings grossing $293,000. Marty Powers, agent for Flag Ranch LLC, sold five head for $263,000, while the Marty Powers, Agent consignment sold seven yearlings totaling $235,500.

Among sires represented by two or more yearlings sold, Apollitical Jess led the opening session by average, with 11 yearlings grossing $627,000 for a $57,000 average. Flying Cowboy 123 ranked second with eight yearlings totaling $410,000 and averaging $51,250. Kiss My Hocks followed with nine yearlings grossing $418,000 for a $46,444 average.

The 2026 Heritage Place Yearling Sale continues Thursday morning at 10 a.m., with Hips 272 through 542 scheduled to pass through the sales ring.
