PORTO FELIZ, SP—FEBRUARY 1, 2015—Rancho Das Americas reported this week their leading Quarter Horse sire Fishers Dash died on January 20 at the age of 22. The son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash was out of the *Beduino (TB) mare Fishers Favorite.

Bred by Vessels Stallion Farm, LLC, Fishers Dash was a grade 1 stakes placed earner of $123,395. He was second in the Governor's Cup Futurity(RG1), third in the Governor's Cup Derby(RG1) and a finalist in the All American Futurity(G1).

In the breeding barn, Fishers Dash sired 422 ROM, 26 stakes winners with earnings of $11.7 million. Among his top performers were champion Dashing Knud SI 103 ($1,080,048) and champion Hardly Hateful SI 103 ($436,979), Grade 1 winner Finding Nemo SI 100 ($719,544), Grade 1 winner Pivotal Decision SI 106 ($630,639), etc.

Fishers Dash was the broodmare sire of 11 stakes winners including MDT Streetfighter SI 105 ($200,341), Stel My Corona SI 89 ($187,768), Grade 2 winner Mr Taka B SI 98 ($180,145). In 2014 his daughters produced Hobbs America Futurity(G2) winner Takiana Romanova B SI 93 ($ 142,207) and Golden State Futurity(G1) runner-up Apollitical Blood SI 93 ($502,960), etc.

Fishers Dash's dam Fishers Favorite SI 98 was leading dam of 15 ROM. Among her foals were G1 winners Check Her Twice SI 105 ($215,361) and Dash To Chivato SI 96 ($150,549), both full siblings to Fishers Dash. She is also the grand dam of 2-time champion Old Habits SI 101 ($680,491), champion Hateful Hanna SI 105 and grade 1 winner and leading sire Check Him Out SI 98 ($418,528), etc.

Fishers Dash stood in California and Louisiana and had shuttled to Rancho Das Americas in Brazil several times before permanently staying there a few years ago.
