A Look At Some Notable Juveniles From The March 8 Work Tab At Los Alamitos

LOS ALAMITOS, CA-MARCH 12, 2025–Gate works for the stars of the future, the 2-year-old Quarter Horses, at Los Alamitos are now in full swing with104 juveniles recording an official 220 drill since March 1.

The videos of each of these horses can be enjoyed and analyzed at LosAlamitos.com as they get closer and closer to making their racing debuts in 2025. Here’s a brief look at a few of these promising prospects from the March 8 tab.

MARCH 8 NOTABLES – GATE WORKS FROM THIS MORNING ARE AVAILABLE HERE

State Secretz :12.5 – J Lazy Six Racing owns this Favorite Cartel filly, who is out of $76,000 earner Apolitical Pac, Apolitical Pac is the dam of $117,000 earner Pappacito and local stakes winner Politiko. She is also the mother of Freedom Fyrst who won twice including an allowance race here last year.

Mr Hocks :12.5 – Racing for Tiffany Anne Beaus, this Kiss My Hocks colt is out of Mr Perrys Wine, a stakes placed winner of more than $105k. In her career, Mr Perrys Wine was a five-time graded stakes finalists, two of those being Grade 1 finals.

Executive Sash :12.7 – Keith Nellesen will campaign this Kvn Corona gelding is out of Sashay Thru Fire, whose dam is $110,000 earner Jess Sass Me and granddam is the great Sassy Smith, a multiple Los Alamitos graded stakes winner of $412,000.

Beuteeful :12.2 – Kvn Corona filly is out of the 2015 Governor’s Cup Futurity runner-up Budder Think Twice, who was also a finalist in that year’s Ed Burke Million. Racing for Keith Nellesen, Beauteeful is a full sister to Grade 1 futurity finalists My Budd and Think Again Kev.

Terra Famous :12.5 – The Dutch Masters III-owned One Famous Eagle gelding is out of the stakes runner Terra Fire, who is the dam of local allowance winner Terra Fina.

CD Favorite Fire :12.4 – Owned by CD Horses, this Favorite Cartel colt is out of This Boogie Fires, the dam of the millionaire J Fire Up, the winner of the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Two Million and Grade 1 Golden State Million Futurity winner in 2017. She also won the Restricted Grade 2 Governor’s Cup Futurity.

Trident IOT :12.4 – Owned by Keith Nellesen, this KVN Corona gelding is out of the unraced mare My Famous Lady, who is a daughter the 1999 Grade 1 Rainbow Derby winner My Dashing Lady. She was also an All American Derby finalists and a multiple participant in top mare races at Los Alamitos.

Take The Jet :13.2 – Steve Burns’ colt is by Favorite Cartel out of Eagle On The Fly and is a full brother to Grade 1 stakes finalist Eye On The Sky and 2025 El Primero Del Ano Derby finalist Defending Champ.

Kevins Trending :13.0 – McColee Land and Livestock’s colt is by Kvn Corona out of Trendi, the winner of the 2014 Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity and the dam of local winner Monticello. Trendi earned $393,325 in her racing career.

Xtraberry Silk :12.6 – This Adan Farias-trained filly is out of La Corona Del Mar, whose dam is the millionaire Strawberry Silk, the winner of the 1989 All American Futurity.

Ultra Shiny :12.8 – Racing for Steve Burns, this filly by Mpshinning is out of My Lady First, an 11-time winner and earner of $526,933. She was a three-time stakes winner and the fifth-place finisher in the 2009 Grade 1 Champion of Champions.

Touch Base :12.8 – Owned by Juan Avila, this colt by Uncle D is out of the Thoroughbred mare Touch Of Bling, a $261,703 who won races at Saratoga, Aqueduct and Gulfstream Park West.

Cierto :13.0 – Also owned by Juan Avila, the Tell Cartel colt is out of Time to Splash Bac, a $40,574 earner who ran third in the 2009 All Canadian Futurity.

AS Cartel :13.2 – Leonardo Alcala’s Favorite Cartel filly is out of the 2019 AQHA champion aged mare As And Js, a $531,134 earner who won the 2019 Grade 1 Junos Request and was fifth in that year’s Grade 1 Champion of Champions. As And Js was second in both the 2019 Grade 1 Mildred Vessels and 2020 Grade 1 Charger Bar Handicap.

Relentless Trick Db :13.0 – Dale Boydston’s gelding by Hes Relentless is out of A Classy Trick, who is out of the graded stakes winner of $168,000 My Dashing Lady, the winner of the 1999 Rainbow Derby.

Princess Caliza :13.7 – Owned by Alipio Burgos, this Favorite Cartel filly is out of the graded stakes placed runner and $79k earner Chalala Jess. Princess Caliza’s granddam is Chalala, a 12-time winner, winner of the Grade 3 Matron Stakes and earner of $125,244.

London Rose :13.5 -EG High Desert Farms owned this filly by Favorite Cartel out of Remember To Dash, who was a finalists to the G1 2017 Ed Burke Million Futurity. She’s from the family of Powerful Favorite, Bomb Cyclone, etc.

Handsome :13.0 – Rancho AA’s colt is by Favorite Cartel out of Comely, who is a daughter of the sizzling fast, stakes winner Moonlight Corona. This is the family of Nomadic and Circle City.
