Tres Seis Continues Legacy With More Graded Stakes Performers

PLEASANTON, TX–JULY 5, 2026– Champion sire Tres Seis continues adding to his remarkable legacy in 2026 with multiple graded stakes performances, including another Grade 1 qualifier and his first stakes winner of the season.

Bett The Limit earned a berth to her second Grade 1 event with a victory in the June 27 trials for the $1,000,000 Rainbow Futurity-G1 at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Ridden by Christian Cardenas, Bett The Limit took the lead at the first call and never looked back, winning her trial by a neck in 19.681 seconds while posting an 87 speed index.

Trainer Rodolfo Valles saddled Bett The Limit for owner Lance Powers. The filly has now won three of four career starts. She was previously a finalist in the $1,158,940 Heritage Place Futurity-G1, her first Grade 1 appearance, and has earned more than $80,000. Bred in Oklahoma by Flying R Racing, LLC, she is out of Aunti Up by Ivory James.

Tres Seis also picked up his first stakes winner of the season when Yippee Ki Yey, piloted by Alejandro Medina, defeated Master Reigns by a half-length in the $45,700 Grade 3 San Marcos Stakes on June 27 at Retama Park.

Trained by Richard Sedillo for owner-breeder Stanley Forbes, the five-year-old gelding is out of the stakes-placed Jess Shantastic by Fantastic Corona Jr. The victory was worth $27,420 and increased his career bankroll to $143,293 while improving his record to four wins, four seconds and five thirds from 27 starts.

Yippee Ki Yey entered the San Marcos Stakes off a third-place finish in the Grade 3 Governors' Cup Marathon Stakes on June 13.

Owned by Blessed River, Ltd., Tres Seis has established one of the sport's most accomplished sire records. From 22 crops to race, he has sired 699 winners, along with 186 black-type horses,. His runners have earned more than $31 million, averaging $25,000 per starter.

His top performers include former all-time leading money earner and four-time champion Ochoa SI 109, winner of 11 races and $2,781,365, highlighted by victories in the All American Futurity-G1, All American Derby-G1 and Rainbow Derby-G1.

He is also the sire of Tres Passes SI 101, winner of six races and $1,504,928, including the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity-G1 and Golden State Million Futurity-G1; Tres Friends SI 97, winner of three races and $932,674 with victories in the Texas Classic Futurity-G1 and Rainbow Futurity-G1; and Tres Crystals SI 96, winner of five races and $692,947, highlighted by the Heritage Place Futurity-G1.

Tres Seis has also firmly established himself as one of the industry's leading broodmare sires. He currently ranks as the No. 8 All-Time Leading Broodmare Sire, with progeny earnings exceeding $56 million.

Among his leading millionaire runners as a broodmare sire are all-time leading money earner and two-time champion KJ Desparado SI 118 with earnings of $3,340,109; Ruidoso Triple Crown winner Hezgothelook Z SI 99 with earnings of $2,358,300; champions Cowboys Gun Z SI 101 with earnings of $1,590,177, Hotstepper SI 98 with earnings of $1,336,359, and Kiss My Hocks SI 109 with earnings of $1,199,385.

Beyond the racetrack, Tres Seis has also become one of the barrel industry's most influential sires. According to Q-Stallions, he ranks among the Top 15 All-Time Leading Barrel Horse Sires with offspring earnings exceeding $13.1 million.

As a broodmare sire, Tres Seis ranks No. 5 on the All-Time Leading Barrel Horse Broodmare Sire list. His daughters have produced barrel money earners with more than $6 million in earnings while averaging more than $40,000 per performer.

The champion stallion is standing his 22nd season at stud at Zerlotti Genetics Ltd. in Pleasanton, Texas. His 2026 breeding fee is $12,000.
