TULAROSA, NM–JULY 24, 2025–B Cause Im A Hero is set to return to New Mexico for the 2026 breeding season and will stand at Copper Springs Ranch, where he continues to build a solid reputation as a young sire. His fee is set at $3,500.

A Grade 1-placed runner with a well-rounded background in both racing and halter competition, the son of Valiant Hero is already showing promise in the breeding shed, delivering consistent, early success from limited starters.

His first crop of race-age foals hit the track in 2025 and have made an immediate impression. From just four starters, B Cause Im A Hero has sired 100% winners, with his progeny averaging nearly $18,000 per starter.

Among them is MW Heart Of A Hero SI 85, a gelding out of Tres Martinis by Tres Seis, who has won two races and earned $29,300. MW Bcause Im First SI 90 is a filly out of Blazen Alena by Favorite Cartel, who has already won three races and banked $16,455. MW B Cause Im Sexy SI 88, a gelding out of Uncommonly Sexy by Sixes Royal, won his debut and has earned $16,275. Majick Hero, a gelding out of Mj Moon Chick by First Moonflash, has also found the winner’s circle and earned $8,926 so far.

B Cause Im A Hero is owned by Nancy Wells and Kevin Marcum of Paoli, Oklahoma. They selected him from the 2019 Heritage Place Yearling Sale for $65,000, attracted to his exceptional conformation and elite pedigree. With a nod of approval from legendary trainer Jack Brooks, they sent him to trainer Clint Crawford, and the colt immediately proved he belonged.

He won or placed in 9 of his 14 career starts, earning $197,555, and competed in multiple graded stakes events. He qualified for the $1 million Rainbow Futurity (G1) and was a finalist in five additional stakes events. He ended his career with a powerful second-place finish behind the Nation’s #1 money-earning three-year-old, Empressum, in the $393,000 Texas Classic Derby (G1).

Following his retirement from the racetrack, B Cause Im A Hero transitioned into a new career in the halter pen—an arena close to the heart of his owners. Wells, a 12-time youth world champion and daughter of AQHA Hall of Fame horseman Jerry Wells, recognized his potential to compete in conformation classes.

With AQHA Professional Horseman Luke Castle preparing him for the task, B Cause Im A Hero was brought back into the show ring. He delivered a top-three finish at the AQHA World Championship Show, earning a bronze globe. His demeanor, structure, and presence helped him stand out—this time not for speed, but for form and balance. It was a fitting return to a discipline where both Wells and Marcum have long-standing roots.

Now in his next chapter as a breeding stallion, B Cause Im A Hero is building a reputation that reflects the strength of his bloodlines. His sire, Valiant Hero, is a multiple champion sire whose offspring have earned nearly $32 million on the track. These include Feature Hero SI 99 ($1,418,960), Houdini SI 105 ($1,223,198), Ima Fearless Hero SI 92 ($1,062,435), First Valiant Sign SI 99 ($1,053,844), and Sam Crow SI 103 ($1,013,025), to name a few.

B Cause Im A Hero is a full brother to Grade 3 winner B Leaving SI 99 ($262,736) and Grade 2-placed Jess Let It B SI 104 ($186,279). He is a half-brother to multiple stakes winner and track record setter Jess B One SI 103 ($258,911).

His dam, Jess B Mighty SI 98 ($63,104), was a multiple stakes winner and is a full sister to Grade 1 winner Mighty Invictus SI 102 ($303,137), and a half-sister to stakes winner Mighty B Valiant SI 99 ($543,968).

With a foundation built on proven speed, correct structure, and a trainable mind, B Cause Im A Hero has delivered at every stage of his career. Now with his foals proving their ability on the track, his return to New Mexico marks the next step in what is shaping up to be a standout stud career.
