Rue Leads AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity Tri-Fect For J Lazy Six Racing and Trainer David Williams

PHOENIX, AZ—MAY 3, 2025—Rue remains undefeated as she raced to her third consecutive win, leading her two stablemates to a 1-2-3 finish in the $51,680 AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity on Saturday, the closing day of the 2025 spring meet.

Trainer David John Williams saddled the AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity tri-fecta for owner J Lazy Six Racing. Jockey Noe Garcia, Jr. rode the filly to a half-length win in 15.525 seconds for the 300 yards. Picking up $25,840 for the win, Rue upped her earnings total to $40,750.

Garcia, Jr., returned to the saddle after riding Rue to the third fastest qualifying time in the April 10 trials. J Lazy Six Racing purchased the daughter of leading third-crop sire Flying Cowboy 123 for $60,000 at the September Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City.

Bred in Oklahoma by William E. Smith, Rue's dam, First Caroline Rose, is a Corona Cartel sister to Rainbow Futurity(G1) winner Ms First Prize Rose, Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity winner, and Rainbow Juvenile Winner Denver Pass. She is also the dam of stakes-placed Relentless Rose.

Runner-up Heart On The Run is an Arizona homebred for owner-breeder J Laxy Six Racing. Trainer Williams named jockey Sergio Dominguez to ride the daughter of leading sire Corona Cartel from the One Famous Eagle mare One Spicy Eagle. Winless in three starts, Heart On The Run has compiled a (3) 0-1-2 record. She earned $10,36 for the effort.

Bf Dulce Sin Rage, a $52,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate by the leading first-crop sire Dulce Sin Tacha, finished a head back in third. Kevin Birrell bred Bf Dulce In Race in Utah from the Foose mare Bf Fooserageous. Kevin Carbajal was riding for owner J Lazy Six Racing. she has two seconds and one third in three starts with $9,998 in earnings.
