Cindy Loo Who Fastest In Unclassified NB 79 Maturity Trials

AJAX, ONT–JUNE 5, 2024–Cindy Lou Who raced to her second career win on Wednesday while setting the fastest qualifying time for the Unclassified NB 79 Maturity (not black type) at Ajax Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to the Ontario raceway on Wednesday, June 26th, to vie for the winner's share of a $30,000-added race going 330 yards.

Cindy Lou Who got up in the final stride under jockey J.B. Botello to complete the 330-yard distance in 16.941 seconds, a 95-speed index with a 7 mph tailwind.

Trainer Jason Pascoe saddled the daughter of multiple stakes sire Bodacious Dash to her second win in six starts for owner Robert Bailey. Bobby Simmons bred the bay filly in New Mexico from the Chicks Beduino mare One Chick Two hick.

Senator Rose won by a neck in the second trial and had the third-fastest clocking of 17.095 seconds, a 90-speed index with a 7 mph tailwind.

D. I .Benitez had the riding call for owner-trainer and breeder James Bogar. The two-time winner, daughter of Caviar and Coronas, is out of Senator Woot by Louisiana Senator. She was bred in Ontario.
