In Hott Pursuit Adds Two Stakes Qualifiers & Joins Fuego Stallion Incentive Program

In Hott Pursuit continued building momentum with his first crop to race, siring two qualifiers from the Dash For Cash trials on Saturday, September 19 at Lone Star Park.

Hott For Chicks recorded the fourth-fastest qualifying time for the $425,000- estimated Dash For Cash Futurity (G2). The 2-year-old gelding finished second in the fifth trial, completing 400 yards in :19.734.

A $27,000 graduate of the 2025 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, Hott For Chicks is out of Chickitita by Tac It Like A Man.

Sweet Pursuit posted the fastest qualifying time for the Dash For Cash Juvenile after finishing third in the opening trial in :19.889. The 2-year-old gelding, out of Sweet 16 by PYC Paint Your Wagon, was a $90,000 repurchase from the 2025 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.

Both qualifiers were bred in Oklahoma by Dunn Ranch and race for owner Dennis Dreier. Kash Reed trains the runners who were ridden by Juan Pulido.

Watch for the two juveniles to return on October 10 in the Dash For Cash Futurity and Dash For Cash Juvenile finals at Lone Star Park.

Currently the nation’s third-leading first-year sire, In Hott Pursuit opened the season with Oklahoma P&A Juvenile winner Zazas Hasta Luego, who has earned $30,212. His first crop also includes Hot Britches, who has earned $12,022 and finished third in the $46,000 Elko Intermountain Futurity; Laico Bird Stakes (G3) finalist Gipsie Rose, an earner of $22,390; and Louisiana Downs Futurity (G2) finalist Corona Pursuit, who has earned $10,920.

Adding to his growing momentum, In Hott Pursuit will now be listed in the Fuego Stallion Incentive Program. All of his 2026 weanlings and foals resulting from mares bred to him in 2027 will be eligible for the program’s Azul Flight, creating another valuable opportunity for breeders and owners.

A son of leading sire One Famous Eagle, In Hott Pursuit is out of Pandorum by Tres Seis. He was bred in Texas by Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches LP and raced for Dunn Ranch after bringing $220,000 at the 2020 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.

In Hott Pursuit won or placed in eight of 10 career starts and earned $358,218. He finished second in the Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1), placed third in the Golden State Million Futurity (G1) and qualified for the Los Alamitos Super Derby (G1).

His sire, One Famous Eagle, earned $1,387,453 and is one of the most influential stallions of the modern era. The champion son of Mr Jess Perry has sired 93 stakes winners, 10 champions and six millionaires, with progeny earnings exceeding $42 million.

In Hott Pursuit’s dam, Pandorum, is a Grade 3-winning daughter of Tres Seis who earned $70,347 and set a new track record. Honored as an AQHA Dam of Distinction in 2025, she is a champion producer with four black-type runners.
