RCI Sets Town Hall Meetings Set at Lone Star and Remington Park

LEXINGTON, KY—APRIL 14, 2016—The Association of Racing Commissioners International scheduled three additional “Town Hall” meetings in an effort to unify the racing industry and develop a consensus path to improve the policing of the sport and advance uniform regulatory policies.

The first public meeting was held at Keeneland on April 7.

Town Hall meetings will be held in Texas at Lone Star Park on Monday (Apr 18) and in Oklahoma at Remington Park on Tuesday (Apr 19).

The Lone Star meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Alysheba Room on the second floor of the grandstand. There is no cost to register or attend.

The ARCI is also working with existing organizations to conduct meetings. During March the association conducted sessions in conjunction the Organization of Racing Investigators as well as the “Mid-Atlantic Group” that has effectively pursued uniform regulatory policies in their region.

The ARCI effort is comprised of public meetings, private group discussions, webinar meetings and an online survey for those unable to participate in person. Organizations interested in co-hosting a webinar or in-person meeting should contact the ARCI office at 859-224-7070.

Details will be posted as they become available on the association’s website www.arci.com.
