WINNIPEG, MB—AUGUST 6, 2010—Karen Glasser's home-bred Little Love Affair opened early and before winning by a ˝ length in the $15,734(US) Manitoba Bred Derby Friday evening at Assiniboia Downs.

Under jockey Janine Stianson, the Rare News filly completed the 350 yards in :18.660 seconds into a head wind.

Jim Fleming saddled the sorrel filly that picked up the winner's purse of $7,290(US) for her first stakes victory.

The Corona Tour finished second but disqualified for drifting out and interfering with a rival. He was moved to third..

Fredricks Cash who finished a nose off The Corona Tour was moved to second. The Fredricksburg gelding ridden by D.S. Gordon is owned and trained by Tom Kenway.

Settling for third, The Corona Tour earned $2,949(US) . Ketchemonia-Cote Stables owns The Corona filly with Jack McClennen training.

Completing the field were Id Be Fantastic, Antes Charger and Miss T Catch.
