Live racing resumes on Sunday at Los Alamitos folowing an incident at the aerospace facility in Garden Grove that cause them to temporarily close.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA–MAY 24, 2026–Live racing will resume as scheduled tonight with a Sunday eight-race program. First post is at 5:45 p.m.

Los Alamitos Race Course management will continue to monitor the ongoing incident at the aerospace facility in Garden Grove.

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) provided the following update on X (@OCFireAuthority) on Sunday:

 “The IMT (Incident Management Team), in consultation with the EPA and OCHCA, has established the evacuation zone. Any areas outside of this zone are currently considered completely safe, and day-to-day activities can continue as normal.”

Los Alamitos Race Course is located outside of the established evacuation zone. Further updates will be provided as they become available. For inquiries, please email larace@losalamitos.com.
