WHEELOCK, TX–MAY 30, 2023–World champion sire One Famous Eagle arrived at Granada Farms in Wheelock, Texas today where he will stand the 2024 breeding season.

During a meeting at Ruidoso Downs Saturday, breeder and co-owner Johnny Trotter was named syndicate manager and Jimmy Eller became stallion manager of the stallion who is the sire of three All American Futurity(G1) winners.

Property of the One Famous Eagle Syndicate, the son of leading sire Mr Jess Perry had stood his entire career at 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas. Trotter co-owns Granada Farms with Pete Scarmardo. His 2024 fee will be announced later.

As a racehorse, One Famous Eagle won or placed in nine of 11 starts, earning $1,387,453. He was named AQHA Racing's champion 3-year-old colt in 2008.  He won the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity(G1), Los Alamitos Super Derby(G1), Golden State Derby(G1), and was a finalist in the Champion of Champions(G1).

The two-time world champion sire is also the all-time leading first-crop sire in history of money earners. 

From 13 crops to race One Famous Eagle has sired 518 winners,172 black type (19%), 2 world champions, 8 champions, earners of $36.5 million and average earnings per starter of over $40,300 to date.
