Early Registration Closed Today For Annual Global Symposium On Racing

TUCSON, AZ–NOVEMBER 18, 2022–The University of Arizona’s Race Track Industry Program will host the 48th annual Global Symposium on Racing from December 5 – 7, 2022.

Racing 
executives from around the world will convene at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson to examine issues and trends across the three racing breeds.

The Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority’s (HISA) two programs - the Racetrack Safety Program and the Anti-Doping and Medication Control (ADMC) Program will be a key focus with presentations by leaders of both Programs. The ADMC conversation is especially timely given the Program’s implementation is set for January 1, 2023. In addition, attendees will hear from HISA Chief Executive Officer, Lisa Lazarus, who will provide a 2023 outlook.

• Horseplayer Roundtable: What Does the Core Customer Really Want?
• The Storytellers of the Game – Racing’s Legendary Announcers is
   a panel not to be missed. Join legends Tom Durkin and Dave
   Johnson, alongside current Gulfstream Park announcer Pete
   Aiello, discussing the art of announcing races. The evolution of
   the craft  over the past 50 years will be discussed by the
   sport’s announcing trailblazers. Hear the stories as only the
    storytelling icons can tell!

Monday’s agenda includes pre-conference industry meetings & workshops prior to the Symposium’s opening evening reception. Monday’s sessions include:
