The gelded son of leading sire Apollitical Jess has already been victorious in the 2021 Ruidoso Derby(G1) earlier in the Ruidoso Downs meet, as well as establishing a new 400 yard track record of :19.149 seconds in the May 30th trials. Empressum will bring a five-race win streak, that also included the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Derby(RG2), into Saturday's Rainbow Derby final.
