Funeral Services Set Saturday For Texas Horseman Michael Womack

LEVELLAND, TX—MAY 17, 2019—Funeral services are set Saturday at the George Price Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland for Michael Kelly Womack, 58, who died on Monday.

Pastor Randy Winfrey will officiate the service at 1 pm. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery. A fellowship reception will be held at the Castillo residence at 3158 S. Hwy. 385, Levelland, Texas following interment.

Womack was born September 22, 1960 in Loraine, Texas to Fred and Glenda Echols Womack. He worked in the oilfield business for many years and had a great love for Quarter Horse racing.

His' Womack Cavendar Farms is the co-breeder with Dunn Ranch of grade 1-placed 2019 Heritage Place Derby(G2) finalist Apollitical Pence. Womack Cavendar Farms also bred Apollitical Pence's dam Send City by Tres Seis.

Other mares Womack owned at one time include the Mr Eye Opener mare Fantastic Six who is the dam of stakes horses Capital Ice, One Fantastic Gal and Days Gone Down.

Womack is survived by his wife Deanna Womack; children and grandchildren Sara Rodriguez and her husband Jenaro Rodriguez (children Kyler Kamryn and Phoenix), Zackery Womack and wife Barbara Womack (children Kutter Womack, Rochelle Womack), Trent Womack and wife Hannah (child Warden), Savannah Adams and husband Jedidiah Adams (son Wyatt), Brandon Kirkes, and Julie Romero husband Anthony Romero (children Claire, Romero, Ryker, Romero).

Pallbearers include Wally Castillo, Matthew Dunn, Jimmy Murray, Zackary Womack, Trenton Womack, Jenaro Rodriguez, Freddy Womack, Todd Womack and Kenneth Ruthhardt.
