Prospect To The Top Adds Another Graded Stakes Qualifier in Mountain Top Futurity-RG2 Trials

BOSQUE, NM–MAY 30, 2026–Two-time AQHA Racing Champion and multiple stakes sire Prospect To The Top sires two more stakes qualifiers this weekend. Imma Dandy won trial six of 11 on Friday afternoon and qualified to the $310,303 Mountain Top Futurity-RG2 while Pour Me A Drinkk scored the fastest qualifying time in the $180,028 Mountain Top QH Derby.

With jockey Oscar Andrade Jr in the saddle, Imma Dandy broke in a first call, holding the lead to the wire to defeat Tempered Daddy by a half-length. Trained by David Gomez Barraza, he now has two wins from three starts and $22,772 in the bank.

Imma Dandy, who is out of Jess Saying by Mr Jess Perry, was a $17,000 repurchase at the Ruidoso, New Mexico, Bred Yearling Sale. Breeder Jimmy Vasquez owns the sorrel gelding in partnership with Scott Branson. They also own his sire Prospect To The Top.

Pour Me a Drinkk posted the fastest qualifying time from six trials contested Saturday at The Downs at Albuquerque, leading the field into the $180,028 Mountain Top QH Derby final.

Owned by Bob McClure and Sandra K. Barrett, the brown gelding out of First Cowgirl Flash, by First Moonflash, stopped the timer in :17.012 while winning the fourth trial by 1 3/4 lengths under jockey Oscar Andrade Jr.

The Gerald Marr trainee broke sharply and quickly separated himself from the field, earning a 104 speed index in what proved to be the fastest clocking of the afternoon. He was bred in New Mexico by Fred Danley.

Prospect To The Top, from limited starters, has sired 64 winners, 13 black types (12%), and earners of $2.6 million with average earnings per starter of more than $23,000.

He is already the sire of one black type horse this season, Pour Me A Drinkk, who won the New Mexico Classic Futurity-RG2 in 2025 and placed second in the Shue Fly Stakes-G2 this year.

Prospect to the top raced until he was five, earning $992,670 from 26 starts. He lit the board 19 of those starts with 12 wins, five seconds, and two third-place finishes.

He won eight graded stakes races, including the Championship at Sunland Park S.(G1), Zia Park Championship(G1), Hobbs America Futurity(G2), Hobbs America Derby(G2), James Isaac Hobbs S.(G2), West Texas Derby(G3), All American Gold Cup(G3), and All American Gold Cup(G3). He placed second in the All American Derby(G1), Mr Jet Moore H.(G3), and third in the Southwest Juvenile Championship(G1).

Prospect To The Top was also a finalist in eight graded stakes events, including the All American Futurity(G1), Ruidoso Derby(G1), The Championship At Sunland Park S.(G1), The Championship At Sunland Park S.(G1), Zia Park Championship(G1), Refrigerator H.(G1), Zia Park Championship(G1) and Higheasterjet H.(G3).

His most notable achievements include being named AQHA Racing Champion Three-year-old Colt, AQHA Racing Champion Aged Stallion, AQHA Supreme Race Horse, and New Mexico Hi-Point Three-Year-Old Colt. He also broke the 400-yard track record at Zia Park while winning the Hobbs America Futurity-G2 in 18.967 seconds.

Prospect To The Top is the top money-earning son of Grade 3 winner Coronas Prospect SI 105 ($164,559, NTR), who is a champion sire with over $4 million in earners and the G3-placed Easily Smashed mare Cream To The Top SI 97 ($55,506)

His second dam, Hey Sailor SI 85, is a stakes-winning daughter of All American Futurity winner Savannah Jr. She is the dam of nine ROM winners and six black types, including multiple stakes winner Saloon SI 102 ($229,761).
