CELINA, TX–MAY 19, 2023–AQHA Racing Champion The Fiscal Cliff got his first graded stakes winner Friday when Rj Lets Get Fiscal defeated Grade 1 winner Jet Black Grace in the $57,000 Grade 2 Sam Houston Classic Friday night at Sam Houston Race Park.

Under jockey Agustin Silva, Rj Lets Get Fiscal battled Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner Jet Black Grace the entire 440 yards to get his nose in front at the wire while completing the task in :21.826 seconds, a 102 speed index.

It was the fourth win in seven starts for the 3-year-old son of The Fiscal Cliff and the $34,200 winner's purse nearly doubled his bankroll to $73,942. Trainer Mary Meza conditions the gray Oklahoma bred for owner Juan Carlos Meza.
