Leading First-Crop Sire One Fabulous Eagle Gets First Stakes Winner

WAYNE, OK—JUNE 20, 2020—Leading first-crop sire One Fabulous Eagle SI 97 got his first stakes winner on Saturday when Babes Fabulous Eagle defeated fastest qualifier and stablemate Coronado Kiss in the $27,178 South Valley Futurity today at Laurel Brown Racetrack.

Under jockey Cesar Moreno, the 2-year-old gelding completed the 330 yards in :15.892 seconds, equaling a 99 speed index. He earned $10,471 for the effort. Leading trainer Monty Arrossa saddled Babes Fabulous Eagle for owner Merlin Sharp, who purchased Babes Fabulous Eagle's dam, Gone Babie Gone, at the 2017 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale. The gelding was bred by Darling Farms.
