Champion Sire Desirio to Brazil, Frozen Semen Available in US

PLEASANTON, TX—APRIL 3, 2018—Blessed River Ltd. announced today their champion sire Desirio has shipped to Brazil for the upcoming breeding season.

Breeders in the US that want to breed to the leading son of Strawfly Special can still get frozen semen from Zeriotti Genetics Ltd. near Pleasanton, Texas where the stallion was standing, for $2,500.

From a limited number of starter Desirio ha sired 111 winners, 17 stakes horses, earners of $4.5 million with average earnings per starter of more than $23,500.

Grade 3 winner Dauns First Desirio is being pointed to the Bank of America Challenge Championship this season.

His top performers include AQHA Racing Champion Filly PJ Chick In Black SI 101 ($652,081, Ruidoso Futurity-G1, etc.), Grade 1 winner Deniro SI 103 (6 wins, $511,661, Los Alamitos Super Derby-G1, etc.), multiple stakes winner Cb Come Fly With Me SI 99 (6 wins, $224,148), etc.

Desirio had one of best two-year-old crops in 2017 with the likes of Sunland Park Winter Juvenile Championship winner Despin Gl SI 89 (3 wins at 2, $157,875), Heartland Futurity winner Sr Shambles SI 98 (5 wins, $99,077), G3-placed Capitan Jimbob SI 98 (4 wins, $91,483, 2nd Harrah's Entertainment Futurity-G3, etc.), etc.

Last season his 3-year-old Dauns First Desirio SI 102 ($132,364) won the Grade 3 AQHA Derby Challenge Championship and is being pointed for the Bank of America Challenge Championship in 2018.

Deisiro's owners said they expect to bring the stallion back for the 2019 US breeding season.
