One Fabulous Eagle To Royal Vista Ranches For 2017

WAYNE, OK—SEPTEMBER 23, 2016—Darling Farm has sold an interest in their stakes winner and multiple G1-placed 3-year-old colt One Fabulous Eagle to Royal Vista Ranches and Bobby D. Cox. The son of leading sire One Famous Eagle will begin his stallion career in 2017 at Royal Vista Ranches near Wayne, Oklahoma. His fee is to be announced.

Winner of the 2016 Corona Cartel Invitational at Ruidoso Downs this summer, One Fabulous Eagle has won or placed in nine of 10 career starts and earned $649,133. Also second in the Grade 1 All American Futurity and 3rd in the Grade 1 Ruidoso Derby, the bay stallion qualified to the 2016 All America Derby(G1) last month.

Trained by Kasey Willis and ridden by Cesar Gomez, One Fabulous Eagle is expected to make his next start in the Texas Classic Derby(G1) trials at Lone Star Park in November.

His sire, AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old One Famous Eagle SI 101 ($1,387,453), is a leading sire after only five crops to race. He has sired 41 stakes winners, 2 champions, and earning $16,991,883 USA, including One Dashing Eagle SI 98 (World Champion Racing American QH, $2,079,065, All American Futurity-G1, etc.), Hes Relentless SI 108 (champion, $616,380, Hobbs America Derby-G3, etc.), Imperial Eagle SI 90 (at 2, 2016, $1,548,387, All American Futurity-G1, etc.), Bodacious Eagle SI 99 (to 4, 2016, $675,889, Texas Classic Derby-G1, etc.).

One Fabulous Eagle is out of unraced Strawfly Special mare Ladys Heart Of Gold, a sister to Grade 1 winner Strength In Numbers SI 102 ($266,993). Ladys Heart Of Gold is the dam of 7 ROM winners, five stakes horses including One Fabulous Eagle SI 97 (see above), Lubbock Stakes winner and G1-placed Eagle On The Fly SI 103 ($229,244 to 4, 2016), G1-finalist The Ultimate Eagle SI 97 ($129,675 at 5, 2016), etc.
