VILLE PLATTE, LA—MAY 13, 2016—Blanchet Farms' first crop sires Tee Cos, Triple Vodka, Reba Reba Corona have all gotten their first winners.
G1-placed Tee Cos got his second winner on May 4 when Mr Tee Cos was a half-length winner in his first career start at Delta Downs. Racing for Marcus Tillman and Winston Houston, Mr Tee Cos completed the 300 yards in :15.838 seconds. Trey Ellis trains the homebred colt out of Dashing Danali, by Dashing Val. The Alabama-bred picked up $6,900 for the effort.
Tee Cos first winner and first stakes-finalist came April 15th when Gamey Tee Cos won his trial and qualified for the Grade 2 West Texas Futurity at Sunland Park. Bred in Louisiana by Richard Ortego, the bay colt races for Jessica Meza and is trained by Juventino Ruiz. He has earned $14,071 in two starts.
Tee Cos has also sired Shiney Cartel ($5,200), Dust Tee Jewel ($3,300), Tee Ray ($3,000), Di Maria ($2,860) from a limited number of starters in his first crop.
A son of leading living sire Corona Cartel, Tee Cos won or placed in eight of 13 starts to 3 and earned $246,396. Second in the James Isaac Hobbs Stakes(G2) and third in the All American Futurity(G1), he was also a finalist in the Texas Classic Futurity(G1) and Evangeline Downs Derby-Div. 2.
Out of the Grade 2 winning Splash Bac mare Do It To It Reb ($67,849), Tee Cos is a half-brother to five stakes horses including Get It Reb ($249,080), Jls Go Big Daddy (at 2, $126,433), Jls Ms Get Reb ($78,560), Ls Bubba B ($33,965), etc.
Owned by Lyle Guillory and John Soileau, Tee Cos stands for a 2016 fee of $2,000.
Triple Vodka
First crop sire Triple Vodka got his first winner last week when Triple Vodka On Rox broke her maiden in her first career start at Delta Downs.
From only five starters in his first crop to race, Triple Vodka has also sired Mps Royal Triple (placed at 2, $2,800).
Grade 2 winner Triple Vodka won or placed in seven of eight career starts winning the TQHA Sale Futurity(RG2) and the Old South Derby. Also a finalist in the Firecracker Derby, the son of leading sire Tres Seis earned $224,670.
Heath Taylor trained Triple Vodka for owner Renee Spiller.
Triple Vodka is out of the multiple stakes producing Stoli mare Newport Lily, dam of 3 ROM winners. She is also the dam of Grade 2 Speedhorse Futurity winner Hiclass Vodka (3 wins at 2 $218,680). The second dam is the Grade winner Newport Fancy SI 95 ($68,851), by Calyx.
Owned by Spiller, Triple Vodka stands for a fee of $2,000.
Reba Reba Corona
Stakes winner Reba Reba Corona got his first winner April 27 when Cartel Warrior broke his maiden in first career start for owner Jesus Molina. Joseph Manucy conditions the bay filly out of Sainteola Gold, by Osceola Warrior. Bred by Huey Simoneaux has earned $6,600.
Also a son of Corona Cartel, Reba Reba Corona won our placed in nine of 13 career starts and earned $126,888. He won the Evangeline Downs Futurity, was second in the Gilllespie County Fair Futurity(G3) and a finalist in the Bob Moore Memorial Stakes(G2) and Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Derby.
Reba Reba Corna's dams is Rainbow Juvenile(G3) winner Dashing Little Reba ($144,442), dam of 16 ROM, seven other stakes horses including Load Your Guns ($140,054), I Azoomed You Knew (to 3, 2016, $117,212), Zoomdasher ($117,583), Rebas Corona ($43,967), A Rembarkable Perry ($33,284), Taint Your Wagon ($11,896), etc. A daughter of all-time leading sire First Down Dash, Dashing Little Reba is also the granddam of Dash For Cash Futurity(G1) winner Famous Little Reba ($192,612 at 2, 2016), etc.
