MIDLAND, TX—APRIL 15, 2015—Bobby and Catherine Simmons, owners of Rocking S Roping and Racing, Inc. in Midland Texas, have purchased Shez Jess Nice, the dam of 2013 Grade 1 All American Futurity winner Handsome Jack Flash, from Stacy and Debra Laney of Radium Springs, New Mexico for an undisclosed amount.

An unplaced daughter of leading sire and broodmare sire Mr Jess Perry, Shez Jess Nice is a champion producing mare from only two foals to race. Her thrid foal, Handsome Jack Flash, was named the 2013 AQHA Racing Champion 2-Year-Old and Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding.

The multiple graded stakes winning son of leading sire First Moonflash has won or placed in eight of 10 career starts and earned $1,509,958, to 3 2014. He won the All American Futurity(G1), Zia Futurity(RG1), and was third in the New Mexico Classic Derby(RG2).

Shez Jess Nice is out a daughter of all-time leading sire First Down Dash who is a full-sister to RG3 winner Rush Fora First Down ($149,094) and stakes-placed All Hell Is Loose ($9,426), dam of the AQHA Racing Distance Champion All About Larry ($191,618) and stakes winner A Splash Of Hell ($102,076).

The second dam is the stakes-placed multiple stakes producing Such A Rush (TB) mare Five Oclock Rush ($40,1886), who is out of a stakes-placed and a multiple stakes producing Hijo The Bull (TB) mare.

The Midland couple also purchased half- interest in Shez Jess Nice's unnamed 2015 foals, a full brother to Handsome Jack Flash.
