WHITESBORO, TXAPRIL 1, 2015Champion and champion sire Tres Seis SI 97 reached a milestone this week when his progeny topped the $18 million mark in earnings. He is the 20th Leading All-Time Sire of Money Earners.
In ten crops to race, Tres Seis has sired 396 winners(65%), 110 stakes horses(18%), and earners of $18.01 million with average earnings per starter of more than $29,428.
He is the only stallion to sire winner's of three Quarter Horse races with purses of more than $2 million each and is the sire the all-time leading money earner Ochoa SI109 (11 wins, $2,781,365), Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity(G1) winner Tres Passes SI 101 (8 wins, $1,504,928), Rainbow Futurity winner Wild Six SI 103 ($7 wins, $601,632), Refrigerator Handicap(G1) winner Diamond Tres Seis SI 106 (14 wins, $300,698), etc.
The son of Sixarun won or placed in 12 of 12 starts while earning $856,901. He was named AQHA Racing's Champion 2-Year-Old Colt in 2001 after winning the Golden State Futurity(G1), finishing second in the All American Futurity(G1) and third in the Los Alamitos Million Futurity(G1). At 3 he was second in the All American Derby(G1) and Rainbow Derby(G1).
Tres Seis is out of the multiple champion producing Reb's Policy (TB) mare Our Third Delight, dam of 12 ROM including Champion and leading sire Dean Miracle SI 104 ($199,601), stakes winner and former Broodmare of the Year Fortune Of Delight SI 107 ($100,269), G3 winner Buckshot Delight SI 101 ($119,682), stakes winner Indeed A Delight SI 93 ($48,947), G2 placed A Fortunate Choice SI 92 ($65,848), etc.
