TILLAMOOK, OR–AUGUST 13, 2022–Leaving Angelz set a new track record in the $7,750 Sand And Sea Allowance Stakes (not black type) at Tillamook County Fair Saturday afternoon for his third consecutive win this season. The 220-yard race for 3-year-olds and up was ran on a fast track with no wind to help or harm.

Guided by Santiago Jimenez, Leaving Angelz broke from the one hole in the lead and never lost it. The son of Coronas Leaving You clocked an impressive 114 speed index in :11.074 defeating post-time favorite Warhock.

Conditioned by Hector Magallanes, Leaving Angelz has 8 wins and 4 shows from 13 starts. The three-year-old gelding has 4 stakes wins with $81,803 in career earnings.

Bred and owned by Ruben Magallanes of Oregon, Leaving Angelz is out of Angel Eyez by FDD Dynasty.

Runner-up Warhock, ridden by Luis Gonzalez, made an outside bid down the lane coming up short at the wire. The son of Zoomin For Bux clocked a 106 speed index in :11.259 seconds crossing the finish line 1 1/2-lengths in front of Papa Dan.

The second place effort broke Warhock’s four win streak. The 7-year-old gelding trained by Benito Curiel has visited the winner’s circle seven times bankrolling $81,770 for owner Malon Cowgill. Bred by Hayden Brothers Ranch, Warhock is out of Copa Show Girl by Corona Cartel.

Coming in third was Papa Dan with Jose Guerrero in the irons. Bred by Curtis and Bonnie Duplessis of California, the 9-year-old gelding is out of Silver Carol Lace by Sun And Silver.

Papa Dan is owned by trained by Diego Guerrero. The son of Coronas Prince has earned $20,295 in lifetime earnings.

Rounding out the order of finish is Wanna Be Fierce coming in fourth and Chicks Fast Farley placing fifth. Jess Candy Lips and Louisana Bunny were scratched.
