SHAKOPEE, MN – AUGUST 10, 2022 – Wednesday night at Canterbury Park included a trio of stakes, including the $20,000 Mystic Lake Juvenile, a consolation race for horses from trials to the $105,100 Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity later on the card.

Nunothat ($12.60) and Jorge Torres picked up an early lead in the 350-yard race and extended it to win by a length from the center of the track. The final time of 17.929 gave the winner a 90 speed index.

Recent Canterbury Park Hall of Fame Inductee Jason Olmstead trained three of the top finishers: Nunothat, second place finisher Relentless Snow, and Southard Rocket, who finished in a dead heat for third with Elegant Dynastia.

Nunothat finished seventh in his trial for the Northlands Futurity, won by fifth fastest qualifier My Candys Relentess. Prior to that, the Hes Relentless gelding broke his maiden at Canterbury in June after a pair of starts at Remington.
