JEROME ID–JUNE 19, 2022–Second post time betting favorite Kiss A Lou Blue defeated Eh Three Am Icon by three-quarters Sunday afternoon to win the $22,375 Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity at the Jerome County Fairground.

Jockey Oscar Villa was a wire-to-wire winner aboard the daughter of multiple stakes sire Jess Louisiana Blue, stopping the clock in :17.737 seconds, a 97 speed index for the 350 yards with a 20 mph tailwind.

Trainer Ramiro Fregoso conditions the chestnut filly for owner-breeder Five Livestock Company LLC. Bred from the Jr Dynasty Mountain mare Kiss A Kardashian, Kiss A Lou Blue has won two of three starts and the $10,740 winner's purse swelled her bankroll to $12,760.

Eh Three Am Icon picked up $4,587 for her second-place effort under jockey Dallas Erickson. Wasey Erickson trains the daughter of multiple stakes sire Texas Icon for owner Edgar Hibbard. The bay filly as bred in Utah by Sergio Garza, Jr., from the One Famous Eagle mare Bizooms Eagle.

Fastest qualifier Jackies Famous Girl put in a solid effort under jockey Pedro Gonzalez to finish a neck back in third. Also trained by Fregoso, the daughter of leading sire One Famous Eagle races for owner Dorian Montero. Christine Hudson bred Jackies Famous Girl in Texas from the Fishers Dash mare this Dash Is Flying. She earned $2,238 for the effort.

Ethan, First Corona Magic, Carley Cartel and Jessa Lil Lippy completed the field.
