O Yes I Can, Corona Required Among Those With Top Works On Saturday

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—MARCH 18, 2019—It was a busy morning of 2-year-old gate workouts on Saturday(March 16) with 26 juveniles leaving the gate from the 220 yard mark at Los Alamitos Race Course.

This space will take a look at seven of the morning’s participants starting with O Yes I Can, who posted the bullet work of :12.3 for trainer Paul Jones and Bradbury Family. Sired by Good Reason SA and out Shazooms Dolls, the Colorado-bred filly O Yes I Can outworked her rival by more than a length while racing from the outside post.

Bred by Tom Bradbury and Marvin Willhite, Shazooms Doll won six races and earned $92,622. The multiple stakes winner took first in the Grade 3 Rocky Mountain Futurity and Grade 3 Cherry Creek Futurity in 2007 and also qualified to the Grade 2 Kansas Futurity. Shazooms Doll is the dam of Who You Know, the winner of the $160,000 Mile High Futurity in 2016 and third place finisher in both the Rocky Mountain and Cherry Creek futurities.

Jones also worked a Stel Corona colt named Wrong Impression, who sharply posted a :12.4 clocking while working from the outside. Out of Fool The Boys, Wrong Impression is a full brother to California Breeders Freshman Fillies winner Misleader. A winner of $31,805 in her racing career, Fool The Boys finished second Tailgunner Tom in the 2008 Los Alamitos Maiden Stakes. Her dam is three-time graded derby winner Girl Secrets.
