Heritage Place Sale Graduates Shine at Remington Park Saturday Night

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 20, 2021—A number of Heritage Place Sale graduates were big winners over the past weekend at Remington Park.

Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate San Lorenzo Tay won the $926,500 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity [RG1]. A graduate of the 2020 September Sale, the nation's #1 Money Earner for 2021 sold for $67,000.

Rogelio Marquez Jr. purchased the son of multiple stakes sire Ivory James from AQHA Champion breeder Bobby D. Cox. The Oklahoma-bred, out of Shes Dashin First by First Down Dash, is trained by Kelly Heltzel and was ridden by Augustin Silva.

In the $100,000 Sooner State Stakes(RG1) on Saturday, 2017 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate Valiant Tiberias earned $57,800 to increase his lifetime mark to $661,593.

Racing for Sergio Holguin, Clifton Nelson and Felix Rodriguez, the multiple graded winning son of Valiant Hero is has a three-race win streak going that include the Grade 1 Refrigerator Stakes at Lone Star Park last October and the Bank of America Remington Park Championship Challenge(G2) at Remington Park March 27th.

Herschel Cole paid $13,000 for Valiant Tiberias from the Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent consignment. Marco Chavez-Gutierrez trains the 5-year-old gelding with AQHA Racing champion jockey James Flores in the irons. Reliance Ranches, LLC bred Valiant Tiberias from the Feature Mr Jess mare American Feature.

Heritage Place September Yearling graduate Whirlaway Wagon remained undefeated in two starts after his one-length win in the $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile Saturday night.

Owner MRB Racing, LLC paid $19,000 for the son of Whirlaway Red to breeder Buckskin EC, Inc. Conditioned by Manuel Rodriguez and ridden by Raul Ramirez Jr., Whirlaway Wagon has earned $50,504 in two starts. He is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Lil Miss Party Doll.
