All Set For 2015 Los Alamitos Equine Sale To Be Held On October 3 And 4

LOS ALAMITOS, CA— OCTOBER 1, 2015—The 11th annual Los Alamitos Equine Sale will be a two-day event held on October 3 and 4 starting at 10 a.m. on both days at its traditional and beautiful facility located adjacent to Los Alamitos Race Course.

The sale catalog will feature over 370 hips, as of this writing, of which over 330 will be yearlings. In addition, 26 broodmares and 5 horses of mixed stock will also be featured. The sale is a joint venture between Ed Allred, the sport's all-time leading breeder and the owner of Los Alamitos Race Course, the legendary Vessels Stallion Farm, and top breeders Burns Ranch and John Andreini. The Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Racing Association manages the Equine Sale.

The Los Alamitos Equine Sale has a tremendous tradition of past graduates. They include the likes of All American Futurity winner No Secrets Here and champion FDD Dynasty, plus recent stars like Moonist, Walk Thru Crystal, New Look, Old Girl, and more. The catalog includes runners sired by Walk Thru Fire, First Down Dash, Corona Cartel, Foose, Mr Jess Perry, Pyc Paint Your Wagon, FDD Dynasty, One Famous Eagle, TR Dasher, One Sweet Jess and more.

Ed Allred's consignment is replete with outstanding racing prospect headed by Hip #229, a filly by Stel Corona, who is a full sister to the superstar mare and Champion of Champions finalist Quirky. Allred's consignment also includes Hips #352 and #353, a pair of siblings sired by Walk Thru Fire and out of the award winning broodmare Look Her Over. Hip #352 is a colt named He Too Looks Hot, a full brother to Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity winner He Looks Hot. Hip #353 is named Look At Her, a full sister to the aforementioned He Looks Hot. His consignment also features Hip #279, a filly by Foose and a full sister to two-time derby winner Forget It and stakes winner She Forgives. In addition, Allred has will be selling a string of talented young broodmares headed by All American Derby finalist Callan Rocks.

Burns Ranch has consigned a top group of yearlings including Hip #250 Are Those Real. Out of Fames Easy, this filly by One Sweet Jess is from the family of Dont Dink With Me, Miss Kittys Bar Bet, Ynot Walk, and Quirky. Burns Ranch will also sell Hip #114 Tahma Chop, a half sister to 2015 All American Futurity finalist Crooked Path; Hip #278 First To Fall, a First Down Dash filly out of La Primera Del Ano Derby winner Fall For It; Hip #61 Running Fast, a Walk Thru Fire colt out of Running Bac and Hip #92 Smell Perfume, a Foose filly out of Running Bac. A Grade 1 winner at Los Alamitos, Running Bac has already produced La Primera winner Bac In Front and Governor's Cup Futurity winner Checknbac.

Vessels Stallion Farm's consignment is headed by Hip #72 Full Throttle First, a half brother to champion Hez Our Secret hailing from the family of All American Futurity winner No Secrets Here. Vessels Stallion Farm has also consigned Hip #171 Hoot N Hollar, a half brother to Rainbow Derby and Remington Park Championship winner Separate Bet and El Primero winner Harley Man. This consignment also includes Hip #265 Perrys Getting Down, a half brother to Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity winner One Quick First Down.
