Prairie Meadows will host three trials for the Hawkeye Futurity on Saturday.

ALTOONA, IA—UNE 14, 2021—Twenty-four Iowa-bred 2-year-olds are entered in Saturday’s 330-yard Hawkeye Futurity (R) trials at Prairie Meadows.

RH Bros. LLC’s Fabulous Mary Ia, a daughter of One Fabulous Eagle and a $10,500 purchase at last year’s Ruidoso Select Sale, drew post 2 and will be ridden by Cordarelton Benn in the third of three heats. Trained by Jose E. Gamez, the filly is coming off of a neck victory in a 330-yard, $17,100 maiden-special-weight dash at Remington Park on May 13.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Saturday’s trials will meet in the July 10, $100,000-est. Hawkeye Futurity final.
