Yankee Verde Wins Bank of America South America Challenge

Q-RACING —MARCH 24, 2020—Stud Dos Amigos' Yankee Verde and Zion Verde took the exacta in the March 21 R$250,000 ($49,000 US) Bank of America South America Challenge at the Jockey Club de Sorocaba.

Yankee Verde went the 440 yards in :21.475, two lengths the better of his nearest rival.

Both horses were bred by Haras Vista Verde and trained by A.J.Macedo. Yankee Verde is a son of No Secrets Here and out of the Streakin La Jolla mare Bits Of Bliss. Zion Verde is by Get Down Perry and out of the Hawkish mare Hawk Had It.

With the victory, Yankee Verde earned a spot to run the Grade 1 Bank of American Challenge Championship final with a US $300,000-est. purse in Albuquerque October 24.

Yankee Verde was ridden by D. Macedo, and Zion Verde was ridden by V. Barbos.

Finishing third was Full Time Eagle, followed by Panther Signature, Ten Ten Gold ZO, Brasilia Toll, Habibi Seis AD and One Eagle Speed MV.
