Sky Bo Dash Battles For Hard-Fought Victory In Bank Of America Championship Challenge At Remington

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 14, 2017—A sharp start put Sky Bo Dash on the lead immediately in Sunday’s Grade 2, $114,480 Bank of America Challenge Championship at Remington Park. The 4-year-old then dug in to hold off Rockin Disco to win by a head.

Owned by Bobby Simmons of Breckenridge, Texas and trained by Trey Wood, Sky Bo Dash was handled by Remington Park’s leading jockey Ricky Ramirez.

"When they said "go" he broke about a length in front," Ramirez noted. "We just took advantage of it. That 4-horse (Rockin Disco), was coming and he was getting us with every stride but we held them off and got the head-bob."

Sky Bo Dash hit the finish in :22.038 seconds over a fast track, just eking out the win over a hard-charging Rockin Disco. Three Olives N Smoke was a half-length behind in third.
