PRINEVILLE, OR—JULY 16, 2016—Multiple stakes winner Pappas In The House dueled to a neck win over Bh Country Chrome in the $17,020 Jack Rhoden Memorial Bonus Challenge on Saturday at the Crooked River Roundup in Prineville, Oregon.

Ridden by jockey Eddie Aceves, the 3-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Pappasito completed the 250 yards in :13.315 seconds, a 101 speed index. It was the sixth win from 11 starts for the bay gelding and the $9,361 winner's purse boosted his lifetime mar k past $110,000.

Mark Hanson conditions the Oklahoma-bred for Rob Evans and Hanson Racing, LLC. MacKie Racing LLC bred Pappas In The House from the Mr Eye Opener mare Mongoose Jet Eye.

Bh Country Chrome earned $3,404 for owner Juan Sanguino. Silvestre Sanguino trains the Paint son of County Quick Dash out of Apollo Snowbound, by Snowbound (TB). Eduardo Gutierrez-Sosa had the riding assignment. Bill Holburg is the breeder.

Bentio Curiel's owned-and-trained One Runaway Opener finished half-a-length back in the show position. Jockey Guillermo Muro rode the One Sweet Jess 3-year-old out of Runaway Eye Opener, by Mr Eye Opener. Bred in California by Jose and Gustavo De La Torre, the gray colt earned $1,702 for the effort.

My Best Bunny Yet, Cousin Wheelz, A Tree Dash, Miss Country Chicks and Let It Rain completed the field.
