GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 30, 2015—Visual Magic, a 3-year-old daughter of Corona Cartel owned by Turner Farms and the fastest qualifier, is one of 10 fillies and mares entered back in Saturday’s 400-yard, $30,000 Merial Lone Star Distaff Challenge Stakes at Lone Star Park.

Visual Magic has won three of six starts this season, including the second of two Merial Lone Star Distaff Challenge trials on September 19. The filly will be ridden by Ricky Ramirez for trainer Gilbert Aguirre III.

Other contenders include Lil Famous Dash, a homebred 4-year-old One Famous Eagle mare racing for Gus Barakis’ Scarlett Hill Farm at Weatherford, Texas. The winner of last year’s Texas Classic Derby (G1) at Lone Star, the mare has banked $11,024 from five outs this year, and his season resume includes a third-place finish in the 400-yard, $50,000 Junos Request Stakes (G2) for fillies and mares at Remington Park in May.

Rodrigo Vallejo has been named to ride Lil Famous Dash for trainer Steven Kearl.

Zoetis Lone Star Distance Challenge Stakes

Also on Saturday, Louis Howard’s Jessa Little Rusty is one of seven horses entered in the 870-yard, $30,000 Zoetis Lone Star Distance Challenge Stakes.

A 5-year-old son of Mr Jess Perry trained by Jose G. Cruz, Jessa Little Rusty will be making his first start since October 18, 2014, when he scored an upset 3 1/2-length victory in the $100,000 Zoetis Distance Challenge Championship at Prairie Meadows.

Jessa Little Rusty drew post 2 and will be ridden by Omar Reyes.
