BOISE, ID—JULY 25, 2015—Mc Graw, a 4-year-old son of Separatist, defeated Merwin Carter by half-a-length Saturday night in the $15,950 Les Bois Park Bonus Challenge Stakes. Little Grunt finished one-length back in the third.
Ridden by jockey Eddie Aceves, Mc Graw drew off handily while completing the 400 yards in :19.970 seconds to pickup the winner's check of $9,570. James Hanson saddled Mc Graw to his fourth career win in 12 starts. He has earned $25,524.
Robin Dunn, Larry Chapple and RTM Stables, LLC own the gray gelding out of Sizzling Lola, by First Down Dash. Bobby D. Cix is the breeder.
Merwin Carter is a 4-year-old Carters Cartel gelding owned-and-bred by Craig Giles Racing LLC. Monty Arrossa saddled with Robert Burney riding. Merwin Carter picked up $3,190 for the effort.
Jay Pitcher conditions Little Grunt for himself and Robert Gutke. Jose Figueroa rode the homebred Winners Version 4-year-old out of Smart Little Liz, by Real Easy Jet. J. He earned $1,914. Stealin Seis, Runaway Vixen, Never Tell, James And Company and Lil Bitts A Dash completed the field.
