SUNLAND PARK, NM—FEBRUARY 27, 2020—Pink Day at The Park, an annual fundraiser, will take place this Saturday, February 29 at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino, located at 1200 Futurity Dr. in Sunland Park. The event raises money for breast cancer awareness with all proceeds benefitting the "Stand With Estela Fund," founded by breast cancer survivor and long-time El Paso television news personality, Estela Casas.

There will be a silent auction beginning at 12:30 p.m. (MST), as well as prizes and giveaways throughout the day.

"I created the Stand With Estela Fund with the El Paso Community Foundation to help other women in our community that are going through this journey," according to Casas on her organization’s website.

In addition to the silent auction and giveaways organized by Race to Whip Cancer, Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino will also help bring awareness to breast cancer in various ways this Saturday. "Every jockey will wear pink silks to honor breast cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the disease," said organizer Jamie Tipton Zamora. She added that "by wearing pink we also show our support for the progress being made to defeat breast cancer."

Each race at Sunland Park on Saturday will also be sponsored with proceeds benefiting the cause.
