LOS ALAMITOS, CA—SEPTEMBER 22, 2016—A full field of 10 evenly matched Quarter Horses will headline the Pick 6 sequence, which featured a $35,709 carryover, going into Friday’s third race at Los Alamitos. First post is 7 p.m.

With the money expected to be wagered on Friday night, the total pool in the Pick 6 figures to be well over $100,000. Salvador Salazar’s Kool Temptor appears to be one of the favorites in the third race on Friday. Racing from post three for trainer Juan Aleman, the Tempting Dash mare finished third when facing higher claimers in her last outing. The young pilot Martin Arriaga will ride.

The third leg in the Pick 6 sequence in race number five on Friday night and will feature seven juvenile fillies competing at 300 yards. The field will be headed by Abigail Kawananakoa’s Still Friends, which has finished second twice in her last three starts. Still Friends is a full sister to three-time derby winner Forget It.

Bruce and Jill Thompson’s Apolliticaltradition is one of the marquee names in the featured $12,600 allowance in the evening’s seventh race. The Apollitical Jess filly will only be making her third career start and she’s coming off of a victory in her last outing.
