Eight Entered Back in Rillito’s El Moro de Cumpas Stakes

TUCSON, AZ—MARCH 16, 2019—A full field of eight aged runners, topped by fastest qualifier Temptingjess For Lmg, has been entered in Sunday’s 330-yard, $34,000 El Moro de Cumpas Stakes at Rillito Park.

A 4-year-old son of champion Tempting Dash, Temptingjess For Lmg was claimed for $10,000 by owner Tony Sedillo at Sunland Park on February 15. The stallion has earned $24,425 from 10 starts.

Temptingjess For Lmg drew post 2 and will be ridden by Martin Osuna for trainer Jose Badilla Sr.

Jesus G. Avila’s Higher Icon drew post 3 and will be ridden by Ernie Aispuro for trainer Eloy Navarro. The 4-year-old Texas Icon gelding is coming off of a sophomore campaign during which he scored a nose victory in the December 9, 400-yard AQRA Turf Paradise Derby.
