LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JANUARY 10, 2018—The Pick Six sequence that starts in the third race on Friday night receives top billing due to its $33,100 carryover, which could result in a total pool of more than $100,000.

The racing program will start at 7 p.m. with the aforementioned third race - the first leg of the sequence - set for an approximate post time of 7:56 p.m.

A full field of eight will be in action in the opening leg of the Pick 6, which will be contested at 870-yards. Owned and trained by Mike Harrington, She Can Too will make her first start around the Vessels course after making two starts over the Los Alamitos one-mile course during the summer and winter daytime meets. Robert Bodenbender’s Sakab, who broke his maiden at this distance by 7 1/4 lengths on November 4, is another top contender here.

The eighth race is the final leg of the Pick Six and it has attracted a nine-horse field of Quarter Horses competing at 30 yards. The $13,200 conditioned allowance for 3-year-olds will be headed by J. Francisco Diaz’s late blooming Checkn Seis, who won her racing debut on October 13.

The Tres Seis filly was fifth against allowance runners in his second start, but then finished a strong second when taking on allowance foes on December 3. Her rivals will include Jose Ramon Arreola’s Foose Jenner, who finished third in a trial to the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity when facing fastest qualifier Call Me Cole.
