Fair Meadows Ends Meet with Speedhorse Futurity, Derby

TULSA, OK—JULY 25, 2016—Dicecapades, a daughter of Prospect To The Top racing for Terry McLean of Claremore, Oklahoma, will risk her undefeated record in Saturday’s 350-yard, $233,100 Speedhorse Futurity (G3) at Fair Meadows at Tulsa.

The fifth-fastest qualifier, Dicecapades has won all four of her outs and has banked $94,402. The filly’s resume includes two stakes wins against Oklahoma-breds at the Remington Park spring meet.

Dicecapades drew post 6 and will be ridden by James Flores.

Fastest qualifier Accountably drew post 2 and will be ridden by Yordanis Amaro for owner Ygnacio Romo and trainer Kelli Martin. A gray son of champion American Runaway and a finalist in the July 4, $1.083-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington, the gelding broke his maiden with a one-length victory as the 13-10 favorite in the third of nine Speedhorse Futurity trials on July 30.

Speedhorse Derby

Also on Saturday, Francisco Vega’s Bloomer Ride is one of 10 sophomores entered back in the 350-yard, $68,700 Speedhorse Derby.

A Pyc Paint Your Wagon colt trained by Manuel Almanza, Bloomer Ride has won two of his four races, including the second of three trials on July 16. The colt drew post 2 and will be ridden by Roberto Meraz Jr.

Other contenders include Gary W. Hartstack’s First Prize Diamonds, a bay daughter of champion Carters Cartel with a four-race win streak. James Flores will ride the filly from the rail post.
