LOS ALAMITOS, CA—FEBRUARY 11, 2016—Since debuting in May of 2015, 3-year old Dynasty Energy has lived up to the name by being the latest horse to electrify the dynasty of the Parsons Family Limited Partnership with a fierce type of energy.

The Parsons Family Limited Partnership has a storied history dating back to the mid 1940’s when Jay Parsons Sr. and his wife Polly Parsons began to raise and breed horses, which amounted to be a lasting impression in the world of Quarter Horse racing.

Before they passed away, they bestowed their legacy to their son Jay Parsons Jr. and his wife Char Parsons. The Parsons family 30-acre ranch is located in Sanger, CA where they breed 6-8 colts per year and is home to approximately 40 horses.

Homebred by the Parsons, Dynasty Energy comes from a strong bloodline as his mother, Terrific Energy, also enjoyed a successful racing career and full sister, Thermonuclear Energy, is showing great promise as well.

When speaking of the success that Dynasty Energy has had, Char declared how he means a lot to the family and said, “Dynasty Energy is pretty special. The FDD Dynasty gelding always automatically broke fast and did everything right from the beginning.”

Char also credits the success of Dynasty Energy to the incredible tutelage of trainer Christopher O’Dell, and also to Edward Allred of Los Alamitos Race Course who instituted stricter medication regulations for the horses in late 2014.

“It’s created a level playing field,” explained Char when speaking of Allred’s efforts to outlaw certain substances. “He’s really cleaned things up.”

Heading into the $215,250 Los Alamitos Winter Derby set for Saturday night, Dynasty Energy has won 4 of 8 career starts and has never finished below 3rd place in any race for the Parsons family. His record includes a 3rd place finish in the Los Alamitos $2 Million Futurity in December of 2015 and a strong finish in the Winter Derby will only give the Parsons dynasty an even greater boost of energy.
