Highly Regarded Snitching Debuts On Saturday

LOS ALAMITOS, CA— APRIL 24, 2015—Ronald Skeen and Fawna Knight's Snitching has been one of the stars during morning workouts this season. The 2-year-old gelding by Walk Thru Fire posted the fastest of 59 works at 220 yards on March 21 (:12.20) before posting a great looking drill in :12 flat, which was the fastest of 32 drills on April 7.

After these two tremendous works Snitching looks like the horse to beat when he makes his career debut in Saturday's eighth race at 300 yards. Bred by Ed Allred, Snitching will be ridden by Cesar De Alba from post number three for trainer Mark Skeen and his wife and assistant trainer Holly Skeen.

"We bought him at the Los Alamitos Equine Sale and we've liked him since day one," Mark Skeen said. "Holly loved him the first day she (exercised him) and told Cesar that to get on him because he was a good one. He's been a nice horse since day. He acts like he's special. He acts like a professional and does whatever we ask him to do. The first time that we hand opened him out of the gate Cesar came back and said, 'wow, he's the real deal.' With all that said, we know how it can go with first time starters. Anything can happen. He has a chance to be a good one, but that's all it is right now, just a chance."

Snitching is eligible to compete in the following futurities: Ed Burke Million, Governor's Cup, PCQHRA Breeders, and Los Alamitos Two Million. Out of the mare Departing, Snitching is a half-brother to multiple Grade 1 winner Snitcher. Five others will also race.

Snitching's full sister, Jose Antonio Flores and Brad Hart's Shut Out, will also make her career debut in Saturday's ninth race for fillies. Cruz Mendez will pilot Shut Out, who posted the third fastest of 21 drills on April 9. The field for this race also features Muller Racing LLC's Shes A Temptation, a full sister to champion Tempting Dash and Grade 1 winner A Tempting Dash. Shez A Better Choice, a filly from the family of 870-yard legend Snowbound Superstar, will also race in the ninth. A total of seven fillies will compete in this 300-yard dash.
