EDMONTON, CAN–MAY 23, 2026–Warning Shott delivered a dominant performance Saturday evening at Century Mile, cruising to victory in the $17,972 Century Mile Maiden Express under jockey Ricardo Moreno. The gray filly stopped the timer in :17.670 seconds for 350 yards while earning a 101 speed index.
Bred by Steve D. Burns, DVM, Warning Shott is owned by Jerry Stojan and trained by William Leech. The filly was purchased for $11,000 at the Los Alamitos Equine Sale and is sired by Mpshinning out of the winning Separatist mare Seperate Flight.
Her pedigree is packed with black type, as she is a half-sister to stakes winner and track record setter Flight Club ($238,639), who remains in active competition. The female family also includes multiple stakes performers led by Rock You ($790,325).
With the win, Warning Shott improved her career record to eight starts with two wins, three seconds, and two thirds while boosting her earnings total to $34,488. Prior to the Maiden Express victory, she finished second in the Canada Cup Futurity (G3) and was third in the Century Mile Juvenile Challenge Stakes.
She My Dulce Girl rallied strongly late to finish second under Daniel Tavares for owner Ralph Danard and trainer Misael Moreno. The filly, sired by champion and leading sire Dulce Sin Tacha, is out of the Jet Black Patriot mare Cash Cartel Patriot. She covered the distance in :17.734 seconds while earning a 98 speed index.
Now with a record of 3-0-1-1, She My Dulce Girl has earned $6,477 and entered the race off a third-place finish in the Solo Stakes Futurity.
Cyberella finished third under O. Hernandez for owners Chantelle and Dallas Dube along with Teri and Ryan Wartman. The filly was bred by L O S LLC and Abelardo Gallegos and is trained by Buckey Stockwell.
A $10,500 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, Cyberella is sired by Cyber Monday and out of the stakes-placed Walk Thru Fire mare Walking On Katella ($78,689), a full sister to stakes winner Front And Center ($90,619). The female family traces back to champions Hawkish ($685,631), Hawkinson ($448,299), Flame N Flash ($439,151), and AQHA Dam of Distinction Oh La Proud ($51,873). Cyberella completed the distance in :17.829 seconds with a 95 speed index.
Totoughforyou finished fourth and was followed by Calamity Jane 123, Splash Mountain Mia, Giggette, Dashing Cruise, and Inseperable Cruise. Paint Ur Wagon Girl was scratched by the veterinarian prior to the race.
