OPELOUSAS, LA—NOVEMBER 28, 2025—A strong group of Accredited Louisiana-bred 2-year-olds took the spotlight Friday at Evangeline Downs, where eleven trials were run at 400 yards for the $1,000,000 LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity (RG1).
The ten fastest qualifiers from the afternoon’s program advance to the lucrative final set for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Opelousas racetrack.
The fastest time of the day came in the fourth trial from San Lorenzo Bossman, who delivered a dominant wire-to-wire performance to stop the timer in 19.751.
The son of champion Apollitical Blood out of Runawa Renee by Mr Jess Perry broke sharply under jockey Leonardo Rodriguez. He quickly opened up on the field, drawing away by 1 ¾ lengths.

Garcia for owner Rogelio Marquez, Jr., the powerful colt was bred by Robicheaux Ranch, Inc. and continues to show the stride and maturity of a major futurity contender. He has won three of five starts this season, and this is his first stakes qualification.
The second-fastest qualifier, and the most decorated juvenile in the qualifiers field, emerged from the eleventh and final trial when Rf Fast Dash N Blood posted a strong 19.879 clocking in the closing trial.
The gelded son of Apollitical Blood out of Fast Dash N Deb by Heza Fast Dash not only delivered another convincing trial victory—he also extended his remarkable win streak to six consecutive races.
Luziana Man, under jockey Noe Castaneda, posted the third fastest time in second trials Friday night. © Hodges PhotographyAlready among the richest 2-year-olds in the nation, Rf Fast Dash N Blood has earned $722,989, fueled by major victories in the Lee Berwick Memorial Futurity (RG1), LQHBA Yearling Sale Futurity (RG1), and the Laddie Futurity (RG2).
Owned by Jaime Cardenas, trained by Josue Ponce, and guided in the trials by Jorge Javier Garcia, the talented gelding drifted in late but remained firmly in control at the wire.
Bred by Rogers Farm, Tim & Jennie Rogers, and a $80,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale graduate, he will enter the December 20 final as the obvious and overwhelming favorite.
Rounding out the top three fastest qualifiers was Luziana Man, who captured the second trial with a confident gate-to-wire effort to post a 19.946 clocking. The Dominyun gelding is out of Jewels Fortune, a daughter of First Down Jewel, and showed sharp early foot under Noe Castaneda while never facing a serious challenge.
Owned by Rosalio Espinosa and Jerry Deville, Jr., trained by Jose R. Espinosa, and bred by Jerry West, Luziana Man has been consistent all season and was a $13,500 purchase from the 2024 LQHBA Yearling Sale. Runner-up to Rf Fast Dash N Blood in the Lee Berwick, Sale Futurity, and Laddie, Luziana Man has earned $271,428.
With proven class and dominance of Rf Fast Dash N Blood, the upcoming LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity (RG1) final promises to be one of the most anticipated championships in recent Louisiana racing history.
The top ten qualifiers will return to Evangeline Downs on December 20, where $1,000,000 and the final major futurity title of the 2025 Louisiana season will be at stake. For a complete list of qualifiers with times, connections, and breeding lines, CLICK HERE.
