GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—NOVEMBER 28, 2020—Multiple stakes winner Jessie Marie got way alertly under jockey Froylan Ramirez then drove to a three-quarter length win over Macs Lady M in the $25,000 Paragon Oaks at Lone Star Park Saturday night. Post-time favorite Saratoga Return finished a neck back in third.
Trainer Oscar Nunez saddled Jessie Marie to her 10th career win for owner Palomino Trucking, Inc. The 6-year-old daughter of multiple stake sire Spit Curl Jess completed the 400 yards in :19.657 seconds, equaling a 97 speed index into a 5 mph crosswind.
Bred in Oklahoma by Dolores Hill, from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Traffic Wagon, Jessie Marie has compiled a (31) 10-3-5 record and the $14,500 Oaks purse boosted her earnings to nearly $160,000.

Runner-up Macs Lady M earned $4,000 for her second-place effort. Santos Carrizales, Jr. trains the 3-year-old Favorite Cartel filly for owner Jorge Magallanes. Anna MacPherson bred Macs Lady M in California from the A Regal Choice mare Annas Babe. Luis Vivanco rode the $41,058 earner.
Trainer Alonso Neri saddled third-place finisher Saratoga Return for owner Marill Mendez. Juan Paulido rode the daughter of High Rate Of Return from the Mr Eye Opener mare Johns Party Girl. Bred in Oklahoma by Efrain Mendez, Saratoga Return is a stakes winner of $123,620.
Kylee Joy, Apollitical Now, Moonflash Too, First N Forever, Southard Queen, Lovely Cuvee and Jlc First Prize Elva completed the field. Apollitical Barbie and Girl With A Plan were scratched.
