Hes Innocent Game Winner In Texas Classic Juvenile at Lone Star Park

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—NOVEMBER 28, 2020—Grade 2 winner Hes Innocent got his second career stakes win Saturday night when he defeated Favorite Agree by a head in the $53,274 Texas Classic Juvenile at Lone Star Park.

Ridden by jockey Manuel Gutierrez, Hes Innocent completed the 400 yards on a sloppy (sealed) racetrack in :19.812 seconds, equaling a 93 speed index with a 5 mph crosswind. It was the fourth in in five starts this season for son of last year's leading first-crop sire Hes Relentless.

Hes Innocent suffered his only loss this year in the Texas Classic Futurity(G1) trials when he rallied to finish third after ducking in at the start. Prior to that he has won three consecutive races at Delta Downs including the Grade 2 Firecracker Futurity in August. He picked up $24,152 in the Texas Juvenile to boost his earnings to more than $222,000.

Paragon Farms LLC's homebred Favorite Agree earned $16,282 for second. Jockey Tanner Thedford had the riding call aboard the son of leading sire Favorite Cartel for trainer G. Blane Wood. Out of the Mr Eye Opener mare Eye Agree, Favorite Agree doubled his earnings total to $32,332 off a (5) 1-2-1 record this season.

Jess Adamant, an Oklahoma bred son of 2020 All American Futurity(G1) sire Freigttrain B, finished half-a-length back to earn $8,142 for third. Juan Vazquez saddled the Oklahoma-bred out of Perryphery by Mr Jess Perry for owners E.H. Pitman, Jr. and Sylvia Shaw Pitman. Bred by Bobby D. Cox, Jess Adamant has earned $26,969 this season.

Jess Is The Boss, Old Chavela J, Caliente Caramelo, Greysland, Shifting Ground, Mylestone and Jess A Candy Legacy completed the field.
